Of course, we notice various trends in the development of mobile applications and try to respond to them. The most striking from our point of view are augmented reality and IoT devices. Virtual and augmented reality, which was mainly seen in the entertainment industry and marketing, is already being used in other industries. The variant of augmented reality is especially interesting for mobile applications, where in addition to a real image, for example from a camera, virtual objects that are linked to real elements in the image are projected on the display. For example, we made an application for the Prague municipality at the Smart City Expo in Barcelona. Visitors to the fair viewed 3D models of the Prague monuments they were looking for at the stand in the mobile application.
Recently, we have also seen an increase in demand for mobile applications that communicate with other physical devices. Connection via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) or NFC is typically used. Even Apple, which originally wrote off NFC communication and did not want to allow developers to use this interface, decided to make this interface available in the latest versions of the iOS operating system.

The boom is gone, but people still play it. It has specific database by industry sustained its community. People run around with power banks and hunt all the time. It’s a joint event and it’s definitely good for them. In addition, it will thus prepare the general public for augmented reality in everyday life.

How do you deal with the promotion of your own company?
We recently launched a new version of the website , which we really enjoyed. Our goal was also to make it easy to add content to them. Blogs, sub-sites, studies or completed projects.
We also work on social networks, specifically on FB and Instagram. From online marketing, we also have PPC campaigns. We also tried a content campaign, but it didn’t work very well for us. Then we go to conferences, go to meet-ups, attend networking events, etc. We also have a running team that represents us in Dactyl jerseys at races at home and around the world
How do you split our servers?
We currently have three main virtual machines from Vas-hosting.cz.
The first is priority production, where we put the most important systems of our clients. We have significantly oversized this machine and we carefully monitor all its services.
The second machine is also production, where a larger number of less demanding and less priority projects are located. Here, it is not such a problem for us that there will be a momentary outage of services due to overloading.
Any dacty-fail?
Since we, as founders, did not have in-depth business experience at the beginning, we had to figure out a lot of things on our own. We chopped a lot of those mistakes. For example, we thought that the more different services we could offer to clients, the more money we would make. – Classic. Or we opened a branch in Iran and naively thought that we could manage it from the office in Brno. Fortunately, so far no error has been so fundamental that we could not withstand it. But in general, I think that mistakes need to be made. It’s the fastest way to learn something new. If we didn’t want to make mistakes, we would certainly grow much more slowly.
